Seminars in Law Enforcement

Terrorism and Extremism Awareness

The threat of terrorism to the United States, whether international or domestic, is an ongoing issue. This is a problem that affects all levels of government, not just on the federal level. Having an awareness of the threat and the players involved will help officers and administrators prepare for if something happens.

This class will help raise awareness of international terror groups, such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Al Queda, who they are and what tactics they use. It will also raise awareness of the domestic terror of extremist groups, such as white supremacist groups and the Sovereign Citizen movement, and the threat they pose to the safety and security of our nation.
