Statutory Law 2017 Update
In 2014 the Missouri legislature made the largest revision to the criminal code since 1977. These changes become effective on January 1, 2017. Participants will learn the reasoning behind the update. They will also discuss why some statutes were left out of the revision. Statutes that were moved into the criminal code will discussed along with some that were moved out of the criminal code. Students will learn about some of the elemental changes to specific crimes and reclassification of punishments and ranges of punishments.
This eight-hour seminar consists of a Statutory Law Review and discussion highlighting the changes that are most important for every police officer, supervisor and administrator to know.
