Sexual Deviance in the New Millennium

This course offers careful examination into the fantasy world of sexually deviant individuals. The underlying motivations of some of the most common and extraordinarily rare paraphilic behavior will be explored. This course examines the evolution of violent and nonviolent sexual deviance, including but not limited to necrophilia, lust murder, sexual sadism, voyeurism, pedophilia and so on, as well as the path toward criminal activity and its addictive processes through the internet and other means.

THIS COURSE PROVIDES AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH INCORPORATING FORENSIC AND BEHAVIORAL DYNAMICS INTO THE MIND-SET OF SEXUAL PREDATORS

Objective is to introduce law enforcement personnel into the fantasy world of sex offenders via use of pornography on the internet, as well as introduce law enforcement personnel to theoretical perspectives of sexualized violence, as well as sexual deviance. Assess the behavioral dynamics of violent and nonviolent sex offenders and identify warning signs conducive to sexual criminal behavior.

Some of the topics include:

  • Lust murderers (serial killers)
  • Underlying motivations, behavioral dynamics and common myths of serial sexual violence
  • Violent and nonviolent sexual deviance; assorted fetishes and paraphilias
  • Sexual sadism, necrophilia, zoophilia, bestiality, voyeurism, exhibitionism, pedophilia, etc.
