Investigating Infant and Child Death
A complete medicolegal approach
This course will walk an investigator through the steps of responding to and understanding an infant or child death. This course will cover areas specific to differing causes and manners of death in all child age groups and give an investigative guide to each.
The course teaches techniques for interviewing family and witnesses, facilitating event re-enactments, conducting complete scene(s) investigations, identifying and collecting evidence, interpreting wound and injury evidence, and assisting in the development of practical guidelines for multi-agency cooperation.
