Firearms Instructor Certification — Level II
Level II builds on the basic firearms instructor program’s focus of individual teaching and coaching skills. You’ll learn effective course and range design as well as how to develop programs with a firearms-training staff, manage the problem shooter, create lesson plans, and design and deliver effective and tactical training.
The course is very active and labor-intensive. To effectively participate, you should have above-average shooting skills and be physically capable of performing combat-shooting courses. You will be shooting courses designed by your peers.

- Complete duty belt and service pistol
- Personal body armor
- Duty gear
- Eye and hearing protection
- High-intensity flashlight
- Factory-quality ammunition
- 1,200 rounds pistol ammunition
- 150 rounds 12-gauge skeet/target loads
- 30 rounds 00 buck
- 30 rifled slugs
