Crime Scene Investigation

This course is designed for anyone tasked with the responsibility of investigating crime scenes. This introductory crime scene investigation course teaches the fundamentals and procedures of investigating a wide variety of crime scenes. Emphasis will be placed on detecting, documenting and collecting evidence.

Topics include:

  • Searching for evidence
  • Use of alternate light sources
  • Use of chemical evidence reagents
  • Latent fingerprint evidence processing
  • Basic photography
  • Evidence collection
  • Documenting evidence

This dynamic interactive course includes classroom discussion and hands-on practical application exercises.
